Enrolment & Fees

A Chinese class at Canberra Chinese School
ENROLMENT INFORMATION
  1. Please complete the 2027 Online Enrolment Form.
  2. You may also enrol by phone, email, WeChat or in person at the school after term begins.
  3. Please provide complete student and family information, including the student’s name and age, and the parent or guardian’s name, phone number and email address.
  4. If you are unsure which level is right for your child, use our online Ma Liping Chinese Years 1–4 Character List for a home assessment. You can choose a class based on the result or send it to us and we will help you select the appropriate level.
  5. After receiving your form, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a trial lesson and confirm class details.
  6. If your preferred campus is full or does not offer a suitable class, we will recommend another campus.
  7. Once enrolment is confirmed, please bring your child to school at the agreed time. If your child needs to start later, notify the school immediately so we can hold the place.
Trial Lesson Policy: New students are welcome to try one Chinese class. If you do not continue after the trial, there is no charge. If you choose to continue, the trial lesson is charged.

Payment Methods

  1. Payment schedule: Tuition is paid two terms at a time.
  2. How to pay: All payments must be made by electronic transfer. Cash is not accepted.
  3. Invoices: Invoices are usually emailed to parents in Week 3 or 4 of Term 1 or Term 3.
  4. Missing invoices: Check your spam folder first. If the invoice is still missing, contact your campus manager to have it resent. Notify the school immediately if your email address changes.
  5. Due date: Please pay within the period stated on the invoice.
  6. Important: Include the invoice number with your transfer so the school can identify your payment. Late payments may incur a late fee.

Refund Policy

  1. Absences: Returning students who miss three lessons or fewer in a term must pay the full tuition fee.
  2. Long absences: If a student misses more than three consecutive classes and the parent provides at least two weeks’ notice, tuition may be adjusted according to the actual number of classes attended.
  3. New students: Students joining during the term pay only for classes from their confirmed start date.
  4. Refund requests: Contact your campus manager by email and provide the bank account details, invoice number, student’s name and year level, class name, number of classes attended and refund amount. The school will verify the information and arrange the refund as soon as possible.
